PC-7 Heavy Duty Paste Epoxy

$38.00

1 lb. PC-7 (2-part) Heavy Duty Epoxy Paste.

Uses:
Industrial strength epoxy for bonding metal balusters into wood staircases. PC-7® epoxy paste also has hundreds, if not thousands, of other uses.

As a Structural Adhesive: Wood, Metal (all types), Glass, Brick, Block, Rubber, Concrete, Stone, Slate, Fiberglass, tile, and more in any and all combinations. As a Sealant: Oil, Gas, Water Tanks, Cellar Cracks, Pressure Tanks and more. As a Filler: Holes, Castings, Patterns, Molds, Voids, Welds, Steering Wheels and much more.

Description:
PC-7® heavy duty high strength epoxy is the tough job epoxy! This paste epoxy was formulated for maximum bonding power. When mixed, components A (grey) and B (black) react to form a bond of tremendous strength through a process called polymerization. PC-7® epoxy resin and hardener formulation provides extended working time, for large and critical jobs, which allow the user to reposition work or make changes. High “wet grab” or tack of PC-7® Paste Epoxy makes overhead and sidewall work easy without drip or sag. PC-7® epoxy paste adhesive demonstrates excellent chemical resistance to mild acids, caustics, detergents, gasoline, fuel oil, salt, and fresh water. PC-7® epoxy bonds most everything to anything.
***Note: PC-7® will not bond to wax paper, Teflon®, Polyethylene, and some other plastics. There are hundreds of plastics in thousands of combination. Test a small area when in doubt. Mixing Tips: Approximately equal amounts of A and B by volume; variations of either component as high as 20%will not affect the bond strength. When desirable, one part of A to two parts B may be used to increase elasticity (expansion joints, etc.). In cold or cool temperatures, place PC-7® high strength epoxy containers near heat prior to using. PC-7® mixes and spreads easier at 80°F than at 40 F. Any clean smooth flat surface is an excellent surface for mixing and working. A small putty knife or flexible artist spatula are great tools for mixing and applying PC-7®.
***Note: PC-7® epoxy is temperature sensitive and will cure faster at higher temperatures and slower at cooler temperatures. You can speed curing with application of artificial heat. Directions: Using separate knives to remove amount needed, mix equal parts A (grey) and B (black) on flat clean surface until uniform color is achieved. Surfaces to be bonded must be free of dirt, oil, rust, etc. For best results, rough up the surface PC-7® will be bonding to. Normally, no vice or clamp needed. Prop or tape heavy objects to a wall or ceiling. Applications: Apply PC-7® Epoxy Paste in any thickness to both sides of surface and bring together firmly. Be careful to insure that ample amount of PC-7® remains between the contact surfaces. Use screen wire or fiberglass cloth to reinforce large voids and gaps. Denatured alcohol is excellent for smoothing applied PC-7®. Also use Denatured alcohol to clean surfaces before applying. After cure: Paint Drill, Machine, Sand, File, Tap, or Saw.
