The 7420 Tandem Cap fitting is designed for the 6400 handrail and is specifically intended for use with an intermediate over-the-post newel. It is available in a variety of wood species, including Red Oak, Poplar, Beech, White Oak, Soft Maple, American Cherry, Brazilian Cherry (Jatoba), Mahogany, Hickory, and Walnut.

This tandem cap fitting is used to create a decorative and functional connection between the handrail and the newel post. It is drilled with a 3/4" hole on the top to accommodate the pin on top of the newel post, providing a secure attachment.

Plowed fittings are available for square top balusters with a choice of a 1-1/4" or 1-3/4" plow and fillet. These plowed fittings are designed to allow for the installation of square balusters or spindles into the handrail. Please call for pricing.
